Research forms the basis of everything the Netherlands Institute for Social Research ¦ SCP does. SCP has acquired a large amount of data over time. Some of the SCP databases are small, while others contain data on large numbers of cases and variables, or are highly complex (multi-level data).
The databases contain information on a wide range of topics, including health, wellbeing, time use, employment, social security, education, housing, media and household expenditure.
The data objects range from individuals and families to organisations and communities, to postcode regions and EU member states.
Variables indicate opinions, describe behaviours or contain measurable values such as expenditure, time budgets, possessions (persons) or personnel, funding or accommodation (organisations).
