Summary - Romanian migrants: their situation shortly after migration to the Netherlands

What is the situation of Romanians who registered in the Netherlands in the initial period after their migration? This study looks among other things at their position on the labour market, their command of the Dutch language and their social contacts and opinions. Do they plan to remain in the Netherlands, or do they see their stay as temporary? And to what extent do they differ from migrants from Poland and Bulgaria? This report is based on information from a survey of Romanian migrants that was conducted within 18 months of their entry in the Dutch population register.
